LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- In a bid to empower young Nigerian graduates, the NNPC Foundation has pre-qualified 2,659 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members for the final phase of its Business Pitching Exercise.
The exercise, which holds from July 2nd to 10th, 2024, is part of the NNPC Foundation’s Financial Literacy Program that has engaged over 284,000 corps members.
According to a statement by the spokesperson, NNPCL, Olufemi Soneye,
the program aims to equip corps members with financial management and entrepreneurship skills, enabling them to become economically self-sufficient and contribute positively to society.

A distinguished panel of assessors will evaluate the business ideas based on feasibility, market relevance, innovation, scalability, and community impact.
Outstanding projects will receive startup packs, business advisory services, and opportunities to scale their ventures.
Additionally, the NNPC Foundation has facilitated a 50% reduction in registration fees for corps members’ businesses with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
This initiative aligns with the NNPC Foundation’s mission to foster economic empowerment, promote entrepreneurship, and support sustainable development across Nigeria.
The exercise promises to be a game-changer for young Nigerian entrepreneurs, and the nation awaits the innovative ideas that will emerge from this initiative.”
