ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The All Progressives Congress (APC), has again called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to, as a matter of urgency, declare a state of emergency in Rivers State.
The party also called for the deployment of Armed soldiers to strategic locations in the state to forestall the breakdown of law and order.

This is coming on the heels of the ongoing crisis rocking Rivers State.
Making the call during a press conference in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, the caretaker chairman, CTC, of the party, Chief Tony Okocha said there were clear indices of lawlessness in the state orchestrated by none state actors, āand if this scenario is not assuaged now, it will be too lateā.
Okocha also explained that the controversial Law No 2 of 2024 was not targeted at elongating the tenure of the outgone Chairmen but for future considerations.
