OGUN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Federal Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has said that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government will soon lift the visa ban that has restricted Nigerian travellers.
The information was made available by the minister during an interview with Senior Special Assistant to President Tinubu, Otega Ogra, via the State House official YouTube page.
According to Keyamo, the resolution came as a result of Tinubu’s meeting with the UAE President, Mohammed Bin zayed Ai Nahyan during the president visit to the UAE in 2023.

The Minister also highlighted additional process required for the ban on Nigerian travellers to be lifted by the UAE government.
Keyamo said these processes have now been completed, making the announcement of the lifting of the visa ban by the UAE government imminent.
“After that high-level meeting, Mr. President, credited to him, made things very easy for us all. We did our follow-ups as his ministers.
“We have done everything. We have resolved everything. Just wait for the announcement from the UAE government, and that announcement is imminent,” he said.
The Minister further maintained his position on the exact date stating that the UAE government would officially announce the date.
