OGUN,Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Manager, Fenerbahçe S.K. José Mourinho eyes a move for Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to replace Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.
According to Sabah, Højbjerg started just eight Premier League games last season and could seal a move away from north London this summer with Fenerbahçe ready to capitalize on the situation.
However, the Turkish outfit face competition from Atletico Madrid and Juventus and as a result are looking for an alternative to the Denmark international.

This explains the link to Ndidi whose contract with Leicester City ends at the end of this month though the Premier League newcomers are still trying to convince him to pen a new deal.
The 27-year-old was linked with a move to Galatasaray last summer but after an impressive season with Leicester City, he could be on his way to Turkey if Fenerbahçe can beat other competitors to his signature.
Ndidi is reportedly being coveted by Spanish giants Barcelona as well as Everton with all interested clubs seemingly hoping he doesn’t extend his deal with the Foxes.
Although he had a great season with Leicester City, he did not have the same kind of success with the Super Eagles in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin.
He didn’t bathe himself in glory, like most of his colleagues, as the three-time African champions now face the possibility of missing the World Cup.
