LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian comedian and content creator, Isaac Olayiwola a.k.a Layi Wasabi, has revealed his perspective on romantic relationships.
In a recent interview on the Is This Seat Taken podcast, Wasabi expressed his distaste for the concept of having a “girlfriend,” stating that he instead prefers the term “partnership.”
“I don’t believe in the concept of a girlfriend. I believe in partnership. I don’t believe in that phase of girlfriends. I start with courtship. I have to see the wife in the person from the beginning,” Wasabi said.

Wasabi, known for his ability to blend Nigerian societal issues and everyday challenges into his content, further elaborated on his ideal partner.
“My ideal partner is a tall woman,” Wasabi emphasized, noting that height is the first thing he notices in women.
Born Isaac Ayomide Olayiwola, Layi Wasabi began his comedy career as a teenager, steadily rising to prominence in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
His unique approach to comedy has earned him numerous awards, including the recent Best Online Content Creator award at the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
