LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State announced yesterday that the recent findings from the Kaduna State House of Assembly’s investigation into the expenditures of the previous administration under Malam Nasir El-Rufai have vindicated its stance.
In a statement released by the party and signed by the state publicity secretary, the PDP highlighted its history of challenging the El-Rufai government on various spending issues.
The PDP has urged the current governor, Sen. Uba Sani, to act with transparency and integrity by inviting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to conduct further investigations.

The party called for the recovery of all misappropriated funds and the prosecution of those found guilty, as recommended by the committee’s report.
The ad-hoc committee, tasked with examining the finances, loans, and contracts awarded during El-Rufai’s tenure, uncovered significant discrepancies.
The committee’s findings implicated El-Rufai, several of his commissioners, and aides, prompting the House to call for anti-graft agencies to probe the matter.
The investigation revealed that approximately N423 billion in state resources were allegedly misappropriated under the El-Rufai administration.
The House has requested Governor Sani to refer the former governor, his finance commissioners, and other implicated aides to relevant security agencies for further investigation.
