LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) –Kano State government has rolled out a comprehensive support program for pilgrims from the state currently in Saudi Arabia for Hajj.
According to the Head of Media Team for Kano State pilgrims and spokesperson to the Deputy Governor,Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, the state is providing free meals to all its pilgrims twice a day during their stay in the holy land.

“This gesture, sponsored by the state government, is aimed at ensuring the comfort, health and well-being of our pilgrims in Mecca and Medina,” Shuaibu explained in a press statement.
“The meals are prepared by experienced chefs and served in clean, hygienic conditions.”
Beyond the free meals, the Kano State administration has also deployed a team of medical professionals to attend to the healthcare needs of the pilgrims.
This team of doctors, nurses and other practitioners is stationed at the Kano State pilgrims’ camp in Mecca, available around the clock to provide prompt medical assistance.
