ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party (LP), Abayomi Arabambi, stated on Friday that the party is committed to resolving its internal crisis to prevent Peter Obi from joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Arabambi made this assertion during an appearance on Channels Television’s “The Morning Brief.”
“Politically, we will not allow the crisis to fester for long that we will now allow Mr. Peter Obi to join Atiku.
“We knew their plans, that was why we said, ‘we need to explore political solution between ourselves”, Arabambi said.

Arabambi also addressed the recent legal disputes within the party.
Recall that an FCT High Court had previously restrained Julius Abure and three others from parading themselves as national officers of the party.
Justice Hamza Muazu issued this ruling on April 5, 2023, in response to an ex parte application.
However, in March 2024, the Court of Appeal in Abuja overturned this judgment.
Justice Hamman Barka, leading a three-member panel, ruled that Abure’s appeal had merit and that the FCT High Court had wrongly assumed jurisdiction.
The appellate court awarded N1 million to Abure and the other appellants.
Reacting to the verdict, Arabambi noted that all actions taken by Abure between March 2023 and March 2024 are invalid.
“Since the Court of Appeal just set aside the judgment in March 2024, every other thing done between March 2023 and 2024 by Julius Abure is a nullity,” he added.
