LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has urged the Bola Tinubu-led administration is urged to support the demands of Organized Labour.
In a statement over the weekend by its president, Pedro Obi, NANS expressed solidarity with the labor unions in their request for a raise in the national minimum wage.

Acknowledging the prevailing economic challenges, the student body affirmed the justification behind the NLC’s demand.
The statement reads: “We urge the Federal Government to respond promptly and favourably to the legitimate demands of Nigerian workers.
“The current economic realities have significantly eroded the purchasing power of the average Nigerian worker. Inflation, the rising cost of living, and the continuous devaluation of the naira have made it increasingly difficult for many families to meet their basic needs.”
