LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-British Airways has reopened its newly renovated luxury lounge at Lagos airport, following a six-month refurbishment.
The lounge features 360 square metres of thoughtfully designed space, providing customers with great hospitality.
Different areas cater to various customer needs, from a self-serve dining section to a quiet room with day beds.
The lounge offers both Nigerian and British-inspired drinks and meals with notable fully stocked bar, printing facilities, and comfortable seating areas.
In celebration of British Airways partnership with Nigeria, the lounge showcases artworks by local artist partnering with Akoje Gallery.

The inaugural exhibition, themed ‘New Beginnings,’ features works by esteemed artists such as Olawunmi Banjo, Qozeem Abdul Rahman, and Steve Ekpenisi, each offering a unique interpretation of the theme.
It also have curated collection of local artwork from Akoje Gallery, adding a touch of Nigerian culture to the premium setting.
One of the founders of Akojie gallery Khalil Akar expressed gratitude for the partnership saying: “We are honoured to partner with British Airways and give local Nigerian artists the chance to showcase their talents in the brand-new Lagos Lounge. We hope British Airways passengers enjoy the immersion in Nigerian culture and the artists’ contribution to their local art community.”
British Airways’ Chief Customer Officer, Calum Laming, expressed the airline’s commitment to enhancing the overall customer journey, emphasizing the significance of lounge experiences in passenger satisfaction.
“The re-design of our Lagos lounge is a key part of our transformation strategy across our lounges around the world,” he added.
The newly unveiled lounge is accessible to Club World (business) and First Class passengers, as well as Silver and Gold Executive Club Members.
British Airways operates a daily flight between London Heathrow and Lagos, offering passengers the choice of four cabins: First, Club World (business), World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy), and World Traveller (Economy).
