LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Rivers Hoopers BC, reached their first-ever semi-final at the Basketball Africa League (BAL) tournament after earning a tough 92-88 victory over US Monastir of Tunisia in the quarter-final on Monday.
Point guard, Will Perry scored 33 points, the most by any player in the game, made five rebounds and assisted five times to help Rivers Hoopers reach the BAL last four at the ongoing tournament in Kigali, Rwanda.

Rivers Hoopers will face Libyan side Al Ahly, who defeated Al Ahly of Egypt 86-77 for a place in the final of this yearās tournament.
South African side Cape Town Tigers will tango the winner of the quarter-final game between Senegalese side AS Douanes and Angolan side Petro de Luanda in the other semi-final fixture.
Speaking after the win, Perry said: āI am feeling good, Iām really happy for Nigeria. They deserve it. On the possibilities of Rivers Hoopers reaching the final, he said. āWe will try to rest and I pray we win again.ā
