ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)– The Adamawa State Police Command has arraigned three men before a Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing N72.8 million from a company.
The suspects, Abdulrashed Waziri, 36; Richard Moses, 42; and Uche Sunday, 32, were brought before Chief Magistrate Mohammed Buba in Yola on charges of theft, misappropriation, and criminal breach of trust.
The defendants are accused of stealing N72.818 million from their employer, Saro Agro-Science Limited, located in Ganye Local Government Area.
According to the police prosecution, Abdulrashed, a storekeeper; Richard, a market sales representative; and Uche, a van sales representative, conspired to misappropriate the funds.

Prosecuting police officer, ASP Zakka Musa, told the court that Olajide Oladeji, the regional business head of the company, reported the theft to the police in Adamawa.
ASP Musa explained that on September 25, 2023, the location manager supervising Ganye’s office, Caleb Akinteye, discovered that the three staff members had stolen the company’s money.
The defendants allegedly sold the company’s products and generated N48 million, which was not deposited into the company’s account.
Additionally, an audit revealed that over N24 million worth of stock was missing from the warehouse, bringing the total unaccounted amount to N72.818 million.
All the defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
