LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Two Nigerian women, believed to be mother and daughter, were found dead inside an apartment in Radford, an inner-city area of Nottingham, United Kingdom.
The mother was in her 40s, while the daughter was in her late teens or early 20s.
It was gathered that Nottinghamshire police were called to the property on Tuesday, after concerns were raised about the welfare of the occupants.
Officers forced entry by breaking down the back door and discovered the bodies inside.
The police spokesperson, Ruby Burrow, confirmed that the bodies had lain undiscovered for some time and that investigations are underway to determine the cause and time of death.

Officers later gained entry to the address and found the bodies of two women inside. It is believed they had lain undiscovered for some time.ā
Although the investigation is still in its early stages, the police do not currently believe there is any immediate risk to the public.

Deborah Williams, a neighbor, reported that social services had visited her home multiple times because they were unable to locate the deceased women.
She described how the women were reclusive, only leaving the house for shopping trips.
Williams last saw them in February and noted that the daughter appeared to have a disability and was non-verbal.
