MORRISVILLE, Vermont. (VOICE OF NAIJA) — Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Odetola, popularly known as Pasuma Wonder, is considered to be the next in line for the Fuji music throne after K1 De Ultimate.
Pasuma’s unique voice and consistent release of hit songs have made him an essential figure in the Fuji music genre.
However, recent findings suggest that Pasuma’s busy schedule, which includes performing at shows four to five days a week, and sometimes as much as seven days a week, may be taking a toll on his voice.

In some of his YouTube videos, observed by voiceofnaija.ng, Pasuma is seen struggling to sing some of the songs he has previously performed.
This has led to speculations that Pasuma may be experiencing vocal cord dysfunction, also known as Paradoxical Vocal Fold Motion (PVFM).
According to research, vocal cord dysfunction occurs when the vocal cords close instead of remaining open for breathing, resulting in difficulty inhaling, a gasping sound, and abnormal narrowing of the voice box.
Vocal cord dysfunction can be caused by factors such as shouting, singing, loud speaking, and voice overuse, all of which are common in Pasuma’s line of work.
In cases like this, vocal cord surgery, also known as phonosurgery, may be considered.
Vocal cord surgery is a procedure that aims to improve voice function and communication.
It is typically performed when the vocal cords are abnormal, paralyzed, scarred, or have growths that need to be removed.

The goal of the surgery is to maintain or restore vocal quality and function while addressing the underlying condition.
It is hoped that Pasuma Wonder will consult a physician soon to determine the cause of his voice difficulties and explore possible treatment options, including vocal cord surgery if necessary.
