The Commissioner highlighted that the uniqueness of the newly named Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala Memorial Expressway lies in its construction on a rocky, water-infested virgin land, traditionally used by traders and Fulani herdsmen traveling between Oke-Ogun and to the North and vice-versa
Oyelade highlighted that this road adds to the extensive list of inter-zonal and intra-zonal road projects completed by the Seyi Makinde administration, totaling over 300km, with several more under construction.
He also recalled the commissioning of the 65km Ibadan-Iseyin Road on June 3rd, 2021.
Once commissioned, motorists will be able to travel the entire 142km Ibadan-Iseyin-Ogbomoso route exclusively on state roads.
