ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Enugu State Government, under the leadership of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has joined forces with the Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps to launch a momentous humanitarian medical mission.
This initiative aims to address the healthcare needs of the people of Enugu State, offering a wide array of medical services completely free of charge, following talks with the Africa Taiwan Chamber of Commerce.
This announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Signed Associate Prof E. I. Obi, Commissioner for Health, Enugu State, on Monday 12 February, 2024.
The free medical is outreach is scheduled to take place from 15 to 24 February, 2024.
This event will see the deployment of medical professionals from the Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps to various locations across Enugu State.
Services offered during the mission include surgical procedures, medical consultations, dental care, nursing services, and more.

Meanwhile, the engagement sites and dates are as follows: 15 – 16 February: Imeoha, Nkerefi, Nkanu East LGA and environs @ Nkerefi Cottage Hospital, 17 – 18 February: Owo, Nkanu East LGA and environs @ St. Cecilia Memorial Hospital/Health Centre Owo, 19 – 20 February: Udi LGA and environs @ UDI General Hospital, Udi, 21 – 22 February: Nkanu West LGA and environs @ Agbani General Hospital and 23 – 24 February: Nsukka LGA and environs @ Nsukka General Hospital.
Partnering closely with the Enugu State Ministry of Health, the Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps is committed to providing high-quality medical care to the community, with a focus on improving access to healthcare services for all residents of Enugu State.
