ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- In a disturbing incident, Ibrahim Salisu, a suspect in custody of the Ogun State Police Command, is accused of fatally attacking his brother, Malaimi Yellow, allegedly in response to persistent sexual demands.

The tragic event unfolded on Araromi Street, Sango-Ota, around 11:00 p.m. last Friday.

The 54-year-old Yellow had reportedly been incessantly pressuring his younger brother for sexual favors, leading to a drastic and fatal response.

The police revealed that the younger sibling, Salisu, resorted to using a machete to put an end to the relentless demands.

Ogun State Police Command’s spokesperson, Odutola Omolola, shared in an exclusive interview with Punch on Sunday that Yellow’s lifeless body has been recovered and placed in the Ifo General Hospital Mortuary for a thorough autopsy.

“He has confessed to the crime. He told our men, who arrested him, that he killed his brother because he kept disturbing him for sex. His case will soon be transferred once the preliminary investigation is completed,” stated Odutola.

Disturbingly, crime statistics for December 2023, reveal a concerning trend in Ogun State.

The month alone witnessed 18 recorded murder cases and an additional eight sexual-related offenses, prompting intensified efforts from law enforcement and local security agencies to curb the rising crime rates in the state.
