ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Chibuike Amaechi, the former Governor of Rivers State, has conveyed a message of hope to Nigerians as they celebrate Christmas.
In a statement, Amaechi urged all Nigerians, irrespective of their faith and creed, to maintain hope, emphasizing that “help will ultimately come with belief and perseverance.”
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the nation, Amaechi highlighted that this Christmas arrives at a “very critical time in our shared history.”

He expressed awareness of the significant hurdles, such as increasing poverty and despair, emphasizing the evident struggles.
“The challenges are enormous. With increasing poverty and despair at this point in time, we are in dire straits, which is evident.
“However, the spirit of Christmas signals hope nevertheless; the hope that crying may linger all night, but definitely there’ll be joy at dawn,” he remarked.
Amaechi’s message resonates with the idea of finding optimism amid challenges and encourages Nigerians to hold onto hope and perseverance during these trying times.
