ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Despite the current political tension in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara took a moment on Wednesday to convey birthday congratulations to his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, on the occasion of his 56th birthday.
In a birthday post shared on Governor Fubara’s X page, he referred to Wike as ‘my oga’ (my boss) and offered heartfelt prayers for the Federal Capital Territory Minister.

This gesture comes amidst heightened political tension in the state, notably marked by Governor Fubara presenting the 2024 Appropriation Bill to a limited number of members from the state House of Assembly.
The recent defection of twenty-seven lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress (APC), has intensified the political climate, with the absence of the 27 members loyal to Wike during the Wednesday sitting.
