Tobilola Kanmi, a colleague of the victim who posted the information of Oluwafernami’s abduction on X (formerly known as Twitter), stated on Tuesday that Feranmi had been set free by the bandits and thanked everyone who aided the release.
“Feranmi has been released. My photographer friend and everyone else who tweeted and gave, thank you so much,” he said.
His release was also confirmed by Peter Adeyefa, a colleague of the 25-year-old who shared the flyer on his Instagram story and appealed to fellow Nigerians to assist in ensuring Mr Feranmi’s safe release.
“Oluwaferanmi is back home; thank you, ancient of days,” he said.
When contacted, the NYSC spokesperson, Eddy Megwa, did not immediately respond to request for comments.
