Fire Engulfs Canadian Embassy Building In Abuja

ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The High Commission of Canada to Nigeria, located on Diplomatic Drive in the Central Business District of Abuja, was engulfed in flames shortly before Monday noon.

This unexpected incident has raised concerns about the potential disruption of services and consultations provided by the embassy.

Istifanus Bako, the spokesperson for the FCT Police, confirmed that the commission’s building was indeed on fire for several minutes. However, he reassured the public that the situation has been successfully brought under control.

The exact cause of the fire remains shrouded, prompting the police and other relevant agencies to launch an investigation to determine the underlying factors that led to this incident.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries at this point.

Meanwhile, emergency responders are actively assessing the extent of the damage, and further details will emerge as the situation unfolds.
