LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Victor Osimhen has taken a significant step suggesting his departure from Napoli is increasingly likely.
The Nigerian striker deleted all images of himself representing Napoli on his Instagram account following a public dispute with the Serie A club.
This controversy began when Napoli posted a TikTok video that ridiculed Osimhen for missing a penalty against Bologna.
In the video, a high-pitched voice was heard saying, “Gimme penalty, please,” while a second video seemed to compare the striker to a coconut.

Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has hinted at potential legal action against Napoli, hinting that the player’s departure is probable come January.
The 24-year-old, who had an outstanding season last year with 31 goals in all competitions, including three goals in five games for Napoli this season, has now erased all traces of Napoli from his Instagram account.
While Osimhen remains part of Napoli’s squad, it remains uncertain whether he will be chosen for their upcoming match against Udinese.
His future with the club appears increasingly uncertain due to this ongoing dispute.
