LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA) – Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, a Nigerian singer and songwriter, popularly known as Mohbad, has passed on.
The management of the singer confirmed his demise in an official statement released on his verified Instagram page on Tuesday evening, plunging fans and the music industry into a profound sense of sorrow.
The ‘peace’ crooner died at the age of 27.
According to reports, the singer took a trip to the hospital in the early hours of Tuesday, September 12, 2023, for ear infection treatment, after which he was administered an injection. Mohbad allegedly passed out shortly after the injection was administered and, unfortunately, did not wake up.

The details of his death are still emerging.
The singer was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” on January 1, 2020, and left the label two years later.
He gained immense popularity after releasing his hit song Ko Por Ke (KPK) featuring Rexxie, which was nominated three times for The Headies Awards 2022.
