LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has called out officials of Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) over his use of a faulty microphone, while delivering his speech.

Wike expressed his anger at the development, during the flag-off ceremony for the rehabilitation of existing roads in the State.

The flag-off took place earlier today along the Ladoke Akintola Boulevard, Garki II, Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital.

“First of all, let me express my displeasure to FCDA, it is unfortunate, and that is why FCT is where it is. If ordinary microphone we cannot arrange to work, how will FCT work?” he queried.

He urged every FCDA worker concerned to work towards avoiding such embarrassment in public functions.

Recall that the FCT minister was to begin the flag-off of the re-surfacing and rehabilitation of existing roads and remedial works on bridges of major roads in the FCT.

In a statement on 9 September, the Director of Press in the Ministry, Anthony Ogunleye said it is part of efforts to improve road infrastructure in the FCT as the project will cover 135 roads within Garki, Wuse, Gwarimpa and Maitama Districts.
