LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Paul Pogba’s return to action with Juventus may be short-lived as he reported back pain after the Serie A match against Empoli.
Pogba, who recently recovered from a lengthy injury, played as a substitute in Juventus’ 2-0 victory over Empoli.
However, Manager Massimiliano Allegri revealed that Pogba complained of back pain, and further tests will be conducted in the coming days to assess the extent of the injury.

Speaking to Sky Post after the Empoli game, Allegri stated, “Pogba felt back pain, and we’ll wait for the test results. It’s unfortunate because he was doing well.”
Since joining Juventus as a free agent in 2022, Pogba has been limited to just 12 appearances due to various injuries, including a significant knee problem that required surgery. He also missed the team’s entire preseason in the United States this year.
Juventus is scheduled to return to Serie A action on 16 September against Lazio.
