ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, the recently appointed Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State, conducted his inaugural official meeting with State Legal Officers.
The event took place at the Ministry’s conference hall.
With a rich legal background encompassing advocacy, academics, and consultancy both in Nigeria and internationally, Udeh motivated and invigorated the Law Officers with his impassioned words of encouragement.
Expressing his gratitude, Udeh commended the punctuality and dedication of the Solicitor General, Permanent Secretary, Directors, and Legal Officers of the Ministry of Justice.
For him, his appointment as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice holds a sense of familial legacy, as his father, Hon. Justice K.N Udeh (Rtd), previously served as the Solicitor General in the same Ministry of Justice.

In his speech, the new Commissioner for Justice, affirmed his commitment to realizing the Ministry’s mandates and enhancing service delivery by fostering an atmosphere of resourcefulness and determination among the legal team.

Highlighting the state’s vision and core values under Governor Peter Mbah’s administration, Udeh enumerated principles such as idea-based meritocracy, team collaboration, respect, and excellence, all aimed at achieving a successful and effective governance.
Closing the meeting, Udeh underscored his dedication to elevating the Enugu State Ministry of Justice’s capabilities, positioning it as a trailblazer within the country.
The gathering featured notable remarks from key figures, including the Solicitor General, Director of Public Prosecution, Director Civil Litigation, Director Appeals, Chairman of the Law Officers’ Association of Nigeria (LOAN) Enugu State Branch, and various legal officers.
A comprehensive tour of the Ministry of Justice complex was led by the Solicitor General, concluding the session on a constructive note.
