President Tinubu Appoints Gbajabiamila As Chief Of Staff

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly appointed Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, as his Chief of Staff.

Voiceofnaija.ng gathered that his appointment was confirmed after hours of meetings and consultations by the newly-installed President.

Gbajabiamila’s appointment was confirmed to PMNews by his Chief of Staff, Olanrenwaju Smart Wasiu, on Thursday morning.

He noted that President Tinubu decided to go with Gbajabiamila after evaluating all possible candidates aspiring for the post among his loyalists.

The Surulere, Lagos, politician will now have to forgo his election into the House of Representatives, especially as he is yet to receive his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Tinubu’s decision to pick the Speaker was reportedly premised on the President’s desire to have someone that could assist him persuade lawmakers in the National Assembly to accept his proposals and policies.
