LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Raheem Sterling and Ben White are not included in the England roster for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia but Eberechi Eze and Lewis Dunk have been called up.
Eze, who has never played for his country, will be looking to make his debut in international competition in June, while Dunk, who has only received one cap, returns to the international scene for the first time since 2018.

Speaking on Sterling’s case, Southgate told a press conference: “I spoke with him a week or so ago; he’s not happy physically with his condition. He’s been carrying a hamstring problem.
“He really wasn’t in consideration, so we didn’t get to the point of whether he should be in or out. He doesn’t think he’s operating at the level he needs.”
Marcus Rashford and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who were ineligible for the qualifiers in March due to injuries and inconsistent play, are now back in Southgate’s team.
In addition to Callum Wilson, who has been on fire for Newcastle, Tyrone Mings, who shone for Aston Villa, is back in the lineup.
