LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-The idea that the English Premier League is the most competitive in the world is put to the test by City’s continued success.
More than 100 allegations of financial rule violations by Manchester City between 2009 and 2018 are currently being fought by the team.
However, a large portion of their supporters think the team is the victim of a plot. Why? Because the Premier League is in grave danger as a result of City’s domestic domination.
The English Premier League has successfully marketed itself as “the best league in the world” to people all over the world because it is the most thrilling and, more importantly, the most competitive.
The level playing field made it completely unpredictable and unscripted drama. On the strength of that delusion, they created a billion-dollar brand, but a fifth championship in as many seasons has revealed the weak spots.
Martin Tyler, who has been the voice of Sky Sports coverage for three decades, deserves praise for continuing to try his best to create the appearance of interest. “One of the great appeals of the Premier League is that it’s not a one-team league,” he insisted, without a trace of irony, on the day that Arsenal inevitably succumbed to City’s superiority.
