Popular Nigerian pastor and relationship coach, Kingsley Okonkwo has reacted to claims that men are wired to cheat.
This reaction is coming after legendary musician, Innocent Idibia, also known as Tuface asserted that men cheat on their lovers with women they don’t love because they are wired that way.
Tuface made the assertion in a trailer for the second season of the African reality show, Young, Famous and African show.
But taking to his Twitter page, Okonkwo asked people not to believe the lie that it is from the pit of hell.
In a series of tweets, he said: “NO MAN is wired to cheat, don’t believe that lie from hell.
“But the sexual proclivity of men is VERY different from women here are some reasons#1 Men have a higher sex drive than women, men have a higher dose of testosterone which is the sex hormone.
“However there seems to be proof that men are more prone to sexual temptation than women, OF COURSE women are tempted too.
“#2 Men are capable of enjoying sex without any emotional connection, hence why prostitution is mainly men funded
“#3 Men are visually stimulated, so just being a man in today’s world is an automatic temptation because your view is attacked daily
“However all this is NEVER an excuse to cheat and hurt someone you claim you love, SELF CONTROL by God’s grace is how to go.
“Prov 25:28 MSG – A person without self-control is like a house with its doors and windows knocked out.”
Nigerians have reacted to the cleric’s statement with many shading Tuface over recent remark on all men cheating.

@skin_belleza said: “Ofcourse Cheating is a thing of choice. Tuface is only looking for excuses for his bad behavior.”
@iyoyokelvin84 said: “Very correct, it’s a choice.”
Ibironke who disagreed with the cleric said: “It is a factor of thoughts, urges, feelings, and the body chemistry(lustful) via his inability to resist it, whether a spouse is rich or poor. If a spouse have a love/likeness to taste outside food a day without caution, Cheating/covetousness is in the heart of both sexes either rich or poor but could be controlled or resist it, depends on discipline or self control, exposures, experience or lesson.”
“Men are polygamous by nature but not wired to cheat,” Alien tweeted.
