ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will be conferred with a National Honor ahead of 29 May inauguration.
This was disclosed by Boss Mustapha, the Chairman of the Presidential Transition Council (PTC), during a world press briefing inside the Rotunda Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.
Mr. Mustapha who doubles as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) informed journalists and those present at the event, that the investiture of the national honor is part of programmes for the 2023 Presidential Inauguration.
He revealed that Vice-President elect Kashim Shettima will also be given a national honor alongside Asiwaju Tinubu.
While President-elect Bola Tinubu will be conferred with the Grand Commander of Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) honor, his Vice will be conferred with the Grand Commander of Order of the Nigeria (GCON) honor.
Other activities ahead of the inauguration include a Regiment Dinner in honor of the Commander-in-Chief, a military affair; Valedictory Federal Executive Council Meeting; Public Lecture and Jumaat Prayer; Inter-denominational Church Service, Inauguration Dinner/Gala, among others.
