The Onidimu of Idimu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Azeez Adewale Olayeni Dada Aluko Olugoke II, has died.
According to Gazelle News, the traditional ruler and prominent member of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs, died early Sunday, 14 May, 2023 after a prolonged illness.
The foremost monarch was the traditional ruler of Idimu Kingdom for 19 years having ascended the throne on 19 April, 2004, during the second term of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Governor of Lagos State.

He was a politician of note before ascending the throne of his forefathers.
The man nicknamed ‘Iron Chamber’ was a politician who brought about development and growth to Idimu Kingdom.
He would also be remembered for his peaceful reign and steering roles he played in uniting the Awori indigenes.
Reacting to his passing Luqman Olatunji Orelope, Member Elect, Lagos State House of Assembly, (Alimosho Constituency 01) said: “Kabiyesi, the whole Idimu sons and daughters will surely and dearly miss your role as promoter of peace and development. May your soul find peace with Elédumare.”
