LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Google is planning to redesign its search engine to be more visually appealing, bite-sized, individualized, and human in order to better serve the requirements of youthful consumers throughout the world.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the business intends to include short films, social media posts, and artificial intelligence (AI) dialogues in its search results.
Also, Google intends to depart from its conventional arrangement, known as the “10 blue links,” in light of the shifting terrain of information access on the internet, which includes the rise of AI bots like ChatGPT.
The WSG emphasizes Google’s ambition to develop a search engine that connects with younger people, combining human voices and supporting content creators, similar to its past approach to websites. It bases its claim on insider sources and company papers.
As Google’s annual I/O developer conference draws near, excitement grows. A project internally known as “Magi” by the firm is planned to introduce new features that allow people to have talks with AI programs.
Google as a division of Alphabet, has historically made few changes to the look and operation of its search engine. The rapid development of AI chatbots and short-video platforms like TikTok, which have captured the attention of the younger generation, is, however, changing this.
In accordance with internal reference materials defining Google’s goal for search engine improvements this year, the company intends to give priority to answering questions that cannot be satisfactorily answered by conventional online results.
According to the WSJ story, users who conduct a Google search may be presented with suggestions for further inquiry or visual content, such as TikTok videos, as they look for information.
Google has already begun incorporating online forum discussions and quick films into search results, but it aims to emphasize such information even more in the future.
