Tarma Tsugnigo, one of the 12 persons kidnapped by gunmen in Gaye village, Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), last month, has been killed in a crossfire.
Eleven of the villagers were among over 50 kidnap victims rescued by operatives of the FCT police Command at the weekend.
The FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, explained that a gun duel between Police operatives and the kidnappers claimed the life of a kidnap victim, Tama Jonathan.
According to the PPRO, Tama sustained injury during the rescue operation and died on the spot.
Tama’s friends and relatives have taken to Facebook to mourn her passing, with many laying curses on the gunmen who invade their community.
