    Rema’s Song ‘Calm Down’ Hits Top 10 In Shazam Global Chart

    Nigerian singer and songwriter, Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, has made history with his song, ‘Calm Down’ which peaked at no. 6 on the Top 200 Global Chart on music streaming platform, Shazam.

    Peaking at no.1 on the chart is All Eyes On Me by DJ Belite, followed by Jin’s ‘The Astronaut and Cupid by Fifty Fifty at no. 3.

    Miley Cyrus latest song release ‘Flowers’ is at no. 4, then ‘un x100to’ by Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny.

    ‘Calm Down’ is the only African song on the top 10 chart.

    In March 2023, Rema broke a Billboard Hot 100 record that was set by Afrobeats superstar Wizkid.

    Starboy frontline act and owner, Wizkid, formerly held the record for the highest charting Nigerian song on the Billboard Hot 100 after his smash tune ‘Essence,’ which featured ace Nigerian songstress Tems and Canadian popstar Justin Bieber, peaked at the No. 9 position on the chart.

    In an update of events, the official billboard chart Twitter account announced on 21 March, 2023, that the 22-year-old Rema had broken Wizkid’s record in a chart dated for 25 March, 2023.
