Christina Ashten Gourkani, best known for her striking resemblance to Kim Kardashian, has died of cardiac arrest at age 34.
The OnlyFans model Gourkani, also known as Ashten G on the internet, died in the hospital last week while recovering from a previous procedure.
Her heartbroken family shared the sad news online and opened up a GoFundMe page in a bid to help pay for her funeral next week.
In a statement on the page, the family expressed their shock and sadness at the news, as well as a description of what had happened.
It read: “It is with deep sorrow and an immensely heavy broken heart that we have to share the most shattering, unfortunate and unexpected passing of our beautiful beloved daughter and sister Christina Ashten Gourkani.”
It continued to describe the awful moment someone realized Christina was dying.
It said at 4.30am the family was called and someone was screaming: “Ashten is dying, Ashten is dying.”
The family described how the call was like a living nightmare before they watched Christina rapidly decline in health following her cardiac arrest.
They described her as “such a caring and loving free spirit that always took the time to bring a smile to anyone’s face she crossed paths with”.
Ending the tribute, they wrote: “Christina Ashten Gourkani you will forever be our guardian angel.”
Many of her fans and followers have paid tribute to the star following the news breaking.
Fellow OnlyFans model Mary Magdalene paid an emotional tribute on Instagram.
She wrote: “I don’t know her, [but] I would always just randomly see her on Instagram and think she was really pretty but that is so sad she just died from plastic surgery.
“It is so scary because you really just never know when you’re gonna die from [plastic surgery] omg.”
Mary, who herself almost died following surgery went on to warn others about the dangers of going under the knife.
She pleaded with anyone thinking about having an operation to “find a good doctor” to reduce the chance of error.
Another follower added: “I am very shocked and saddened by this sudden news. She, along with other Instagram models I truly admired and had many respects for.
“I remembered one time when she wished me a very early birthday in a post. I will miss you dearly, May Christina Ashten Gourkani Rest In Peace.”
