ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, a former minister of Education, has condemned in strong terms the activities of thugs during the governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections, particularly in Lagos State.
The 2023 Lagos State gubernatorial election was said to have been marred by highly level of violence and intimidation.
Following this, Ezekwesili expressed concern that this could be a new normal in the administration of the President-elect Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former Minister, who has served Nigeria in different capacities, is concerned that Nigerians may witness more reckless and total disregard of rule of law if Tinubu becomes President.
“The mayhem @officialABAT and his criminal enterprise gang unleashed in Lagos today (on Saturday) against innocent citizens is what he wants to assume the Office of President and scale to the rest of Nigeria in the name of ‘controlling the Center?’
“Tufia! The God of Justice forbids.”
