ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Not less than 140 suspected political thug have been arrested by the Nigeria Military, in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu state.
A source told voiceofnaija.ng on the condition of anonymity that the thugs were allegedly deployed for today’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections
The source stated also that the thugs were picked up at the popular Carollina hotel Nsukka.
Speaking further, he said the hoodlums were armed with weapons including AK47 rifles.
When contacted, the spokesman of the 82 Division of Nigerian Army, Enugu, Major Eromosele Unuakhalu, said he was yet to get the information.
He said: “I’m yet to get the information because I’m still inside Enugu town. I will get back to you once I confirm.”
