ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Dr. Peter Mbah, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Enugu State, has cast his vote on Saturday morning at the ongoing Guber and State House of Assembly elections.
The governorship hopeful exercised his franchise at Mbaguzo Village Square, Owo Ward, in Nkanu East Local Government Area.
Voiceofnaija.ng reports that there was a low turn out of votes in some parts of the State compare to the presidential election which witnessed massive turn out of electorates.
At Okpara Square Unit in Enugu, voting started at 8.30 am as electorate were seeing conducting themselves in an orderly manner.
Also at Ward 12, Girls Grammar Schools, Awkunanaw, has not less than 80 electorates, who came to cast their votes.
Some electorates described the election as peaceful just as they commended INEC officials for early commencement of accreditation and voting.
Also, at Federal Government College polling Unit, Gabriel Nnaji told our correspondent that he cast his vote at 10am.
Nnaji commended the voting process, describing it as peaceful.
“We cannot afford to make the mistake of not coming out to vote. It’s true that some electorates are scared of coming out due to the security threat but I want to plead with them to come out because we must make our vote to count for better Enugu State,” he said.
