ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, has said that the incumbent Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will win his reelection bid.
Oba Akiolu told Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party candidate for Saturday’s governorship election in Lagos, that it is the will of God for Sanwo-Olu to win the election.
He stated this when Rhodes-Vivour, his father and his campaign team visited the Oba at his palace in Iga-Iduganran, Lagos State.
According to the traditional ruler, God has ordained Sanwo-Olu to rule the State for another four years.
He said: “I declared my support for Sanwo-Olu because I believe in him and the Lord has said it is Sanwo-Olu who will win.
“For you Gbadebo, the future is open to us. God will not kill you, there is nothing wrong in you contesting. All of those contesting are my children.
“God should help us to make the state better. When Sanwo-Olu wins, the government will involve all of us.”
