Popular Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Adekunle Gold left his mum speechless after he gifted her a new house on her 60th birthday.
The “Sade” crooner and his siblings alongside his wife Simi threw a fitting birthday party for his mother who turned a year older on Thursday, 16 March, 2023.
His musician wife, Simi and other A-listers including Falz graced the event.
The celebrant donned a remarkably stunning outfit as she celebrated the milestone with family and friends in attendance.
During the party, the ‘High’ hit maker presented his mother a box which was beautifully decorated and tied with a ribbon.
Upon opening the gift box, she found the house papers with her name as the owner.
This greatly warmed the heart of his mother who raised the paper for the party attendees to see.
News of the house gift was disseminated by popular comedienne, Kiekie who had attended the birthday party.
A clip showed the moment Adekunle Gold was spotted singing for his mum while those on the dance floor happily sang along with him.
The development comes at about the same time when Def Jam, the US music label, announced the signing of the Afrobeats star.
Def Jam Recordings is owned by Universal Music Group (UMG) and has worked with American superstars such as Jay Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West.
In an interview, Tunji Balogun, Def Jam’s CEO/chairman, said he has always wanted to sign the Afrobeats star.
