The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has been declared the winner of the presidential election in Abia, Imo, Rivers, Ebonyi, Delta and Anambra States.
In Abia State, Obi polled a total of 327,095 votes while his closest challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came a distant second with 22,676 votes, ThisDay newspaper reports.
Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), scored 8,914 votes to come third.
In Rivers State, Peter Obi floored his opponents in the presidential election results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday.

Obi won in 21 out of the 23 local government areas in the State.
He is leading his closest rival, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with over 23,000 votes.
According to the results published by Channels TV, Obi polled 171, 998 votes so far, Tinubu scored 148, 970 votes.
The Peoples Democratic Party, which is the ruling party in the state, scored 84, 992 votes.
Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party scored 1,115 votes.
In Anambra State, Obi, a former governor of the state in a landslide victory polled a total of 584,621 votes (over 90 per cent of the votes cast) to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who came a distant second with 9,036 votes, the Nation newspaper reported.
Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came fourth in the election with 5,111 votes while Peter Umeadi, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was third with 7,388 votes.
The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, also won Saturday’s election in Delta State, south-south Nigeria.
He polled 341,866 votes to defeat other candidates in the race, according to the results of the election announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, Channels TV reported.
Obi’s victory in the oil-rich Delta State is a political blow to the vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ifeanyi Okowa, who is the governor of the state.
PDP, which is the ruling party in the state, came second with 161,600 votes, while the All Progressives Congress scored 90,183 votes.
The New Nigeria Peoples Party scored 3,122 votes.
The Collation Officer for Ebonyi State, Charles Igwe, who is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria (UNN), declared Peter Obi, the winner of the presidential election.
Obi polled over 75 per cent of the votes cast in the southeastern state. None of the other candidates polled up to 25 per cent of the votes cast in the state.
The LP candidate garnered a total of 259,738 votes to defeat Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who got 42,402 votes. Atiku Abubakar of the PDP polled 13,503 votes to come third in the election.
In Imo State, Peter Obi polled more than 70 per cent of the votes cast. He polled a total of 352, 904 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 66,171 votes to emerge a distant second.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, came third with 30,004 votes while the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, garnered 1,536 votes to pick fourth position.
Apart from Obi, none of the candidates scored up to 25 per cent of votes in Imo.
