ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Electorates at ward 9, Girls Grammar Schools, Awkunanaw, have stated that they are not scared of any sort of attack.

Speaking with the voiceofnaija.ng, a lady simply identified as Ijeoma said she was at the polling unit to make sure she voted for her preferred candidate, Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

She said she was not afraid of any form of attack from either the unknown gunmen or the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB).

According to her: “My future is far more important than being scared of them. I don’t even believe there is group called IPOB.”

Another electorate in her 60s, told voiceofnaija.ng that she is not scared of anyone, noting: “I have prayed and nothing evil will happen. So I am not afraid of them. God has taken control.”

A group of friends also told our reporter that they not afraid to come out to vote as they confirmed that this is the first time they are voting without expecting anything.

“We are so very excited,” they echoed.

One of them who spoke on their behalf said: ” If we are afraid, we will not be here. There is nothing like unknown gunman and IPOB.”
