ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Again, the traditional powers of three suspected gunmen have failed them as security forces neutralized them.
They were reportedly killed on Monday morning by Police Officers in Awada Police station near Obosi, Anambra State.
The deceased attempted to set the station ablaze when they were repealed by the police after fire exchange.
Voiceofnaija.ng was gathered that the deceased unknown gunmen attacked and burnt Awada Police in Onitsha, Anambra, Monday early morning, before they were repealed by the Police.
A Twitter user, @DejiAdesogan took to his page to post the pictures of the murdered gunmen by the police force.
He wrote: “Again JUJU (traditional power) Failed Terrorists in SE region as Security Forces high graded weapons Neutralized Unknown Gunmen that attacked and burnt Awada Police in Onitsha, Anambra, earlier today Monday. Just MopDemAll #Nigeria.”
Confirming the incident, Press Secretary to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Christian Aburime, in a statement titled: “End of the road for another gang of murderers and arsonists” said two AK 47 and vehicles used for the failed operation were recovered.
He said: “Again, in the early hours of today 20/02/23 these evil people, arsonist and murderers (UGM), made another deadly attempt to burn down Awada Police Station, near Obosi, Anambra State.
“They were repelled by gallant security personnel with 3 members of the gang taken down after exchange of gun battle.
“Two AK 47 were recovered with the vehicles used for the failed operation by the gang.”
