The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and his vice-presidential candidate, Bishop Isaac Idahosa, and party chieftains have stormed Kaduna State for their campaign rally ahead of the 25 February election.
Kwankwaso pledged to diversify the country’s economy into an export-based one, which would provide agricultural and other allied products to the world, if elected as the next Nigerian president.
He stated this during the nationwide campaign rally in Kaduna.
Kwankwaso shared photos from the campaign on his Twitter page alongside a caption: “Today, we restated our pact with the good people of Kaduna State on Rebirthing the Country we all envisage.
“At the event, we also presented our seven gubernatorial candidates from the Northwest Zone with their flags, and called on them to intensify mobilization. – RMK”
The vice-presidential candidate of the party, Bishop Isaac Idahosa, urged Nigerians to trust Kwankwaso with their votes, describing him as the awaited messiah that would take the country to the promised land.
Idahosa added that Kwankwaso was not like the usual Nigerian politicians who would promise and fail.
“I urge Nigerians to vote all candidates of our party from top to bottom for a better and prosperous tomorrow,” he appealed.
In his remarks, a chieftain of the party, Buba Galadima, eulogized the leadership virtues of Kwankwaso, saying the NNPP’s presidential candidate would take Nigeria out of her troubled state by revamping the economy and creating jobs for the teeming number of unemployed youths.
He said the two-term former governor of Kano state had a good track record built over the years in service to the country and her people.
