IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – A tweep, Imeokwu Chidozie has raised the alarm over a video of a yet-to-be-identified man giving a baby weed to smoke.
In the video shared by the tweep, the man could be seen smoking the weed and also giving the baby girl the substance to smoke intermittently as a female laughed on in the background.
The tweep call on the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and the police to prosecute the man.
He wrote: “When and how did we get here as a society? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Egbon, @Princemoye1 please we need this guy prosecuted and the accomplice too.

The video has caused uproar on social media with many Nigerians condemning the man for subjecting the baby to such evil act.
A tweep, Scala, said: “This is completely disgusting. How do you want child raised in this manner to be normal? This is really unfortunate to say the least.”
@Tonie_Leo said: “Many parents today are kids. Imagine what you have to confront after raising your children properly and have them interact in school with children terribly raised by parents like these. It’s also shameful that someone recorded this excitedly.”

Ogugua Okoji also weighed in: “What in the name of God goodness is this 🤷♂️, this clout of a thing what ruin it will bring upon the future of this our country. How will a sane man do this to such a precious little soul 😡😡.”
@Davinci_Obi said the video doesn’t surprise him because some mothers take cannabis when they are pregnant.
“This video doesn’t surprise me, some mothers take cannabis when they are pregnant, some even while the are in the period of nursing their children take dry Gin and smoke like hell.

The Police Force Public Relations Officer in Abuja, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi has since reacted to the video.
He said: “Every one of us can see this again. How did he get the baby? His son? Or niece or cousin? Whatever it is, mothers must learn from this, do not entrust ur baby to wrong hands. Not everyone can babysit or take care of ur baby for u. We need more info about him.
“He must be caused to face the wrath of the law. This is too bad. But above all, mothers must learn from this. Ire o.”
Reacting to Adejobi’s comment, @ayocryptolord1 said he is suspecting the mother is the one recording.
However, Adejobi said: “We can’t be so sure? What if the mothers sister brought her to visit her boyfriend. That feminine background sound doesn’t mean the mother was there. Except we arrest them, and we have an accurate fact. So sad.”
