Nigeria Football Legend Okocha, Wife Mark 25th Wedding Anniversary

IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Former Super Eagles captain, Austin Okocha known better as Jay Jay Okocha and his wife, Nkechi, celebrated their 25th wedding on Tuesday, 3 January, 2023.

Okocha shared a picture of himself and his wife via his Instagram account on Tuesday alongside a caption, “Happy 25th wedding Anniversary to the wife of my youth ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

The duo got married in 1998 and are blessed with two children; a girl and a boy.

The former attacking midfielder played 73 times for the Nigeria national team between 1993 and 2006, scoring 14 times, and was a member of three FIFA World Cup squads.

Okocha is regarded as one of the greatest football players from Africa.

He played across multiple leagues, starting his career at Enugu Rangers in the Nigerian Professional Football League before moving to Borussia Neunkirchen in Oberliga Südwest, Germany’s third division in July 1990.

He would play in the Bundesliga, Turkish Süper Lig, French Ligue 1, English Premier League, EFL Championship, and Qatar Stars League before his retirement in 2008.
