Andrew Tate Breaks Silence After Arrest In Romania Over Human Trafficking

Four-time kickboxing champion Andrew Tate, has broken his silence after news of his arrest went viral.

He was arrested on suspicion of alleged human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.

The 36-year-old controversial former kick-boxer and his brother, Tristan, 34, were arrested for allegedly abducting two girls in Romania, Daily Mirror reports.

A handcuffed Tate, who rose to fame this year for his sexist and misogynistic views, was filmed being led from his luxury villa by police following a raid on Thursday.

It was gathered that the arrest followed a Twitter squabble between him and climate change activist, Greta Thunberg.

Andrew Tate found himself in an online fight with Greta after he boasted about the emissions of his supercar collection, to which the activist responded with a befitting message of her own.

She wrote: ā€œyes, please do enlighten me. email me at smalld***energy@getalife.com.ā€

In response to her tweet, which has since been liked a whopping 3.2 million times, Andrew filmed a video, which reportedly helped Romanian authorities to confirm he was in the country and arrest him.

Reacting to Andrew Tate’s arrest, Greta again turned to Twitter to share a savage one-liner that read: ā€œThis is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes.”

Thunberg’s tweet has now become one of the top 20 most liked tweets of all time with 2.9 million likes currently at number 17. It could hit the top 10 by the weekend.

Tate, 36, reportedly had his villa searched by police on Thursday, and was detained for 24 hours alongside his brother Tristan as part of the probe.

The pair have bragged of beginning their journey to becoming multi-millionaires by launching a webcam business in which women were paid to speak to men online, with Andrew once saying they had over 75 women working for them.

Romanian prosecutors said the Tate brothers along with two unnamed people “appear to have created an organized crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content. They would have gained important sums of money.”

The self-described misogynist and his brother will face questioning by the country’s organised crime and terrorism team as part of the probe into alleged sex crimes and human trafficking offences.

A spokesperson for Tate told DailyMail.com, ā€œWe cannot provide any details at the moment regarding alleged reports that they have been detained; however, Andrew and Tristan Tate have the utmost respect for the Romanian authorities and will always assist and help in any way they can.ā€

Andrew Tate’s home in the Eastern European nation was also raided on 11 April, this year as part of a human trafficking investigation.

Following the April raid, which was reportedly prompted by a complaint from a United State citizen to the American Embassy in Bucharest, the Tate brothers were detained for several hours for questioning but ultimately released as the investigation continued.

Andrew Tate has previously boasted to his followers that ’40 per cent’ of the reason he moved to Romania was because the police were less likely to pursue any sexual assault allegation against him.
