ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has said people who cannot run a kiosk cannot run a multi-national. He said this while criticising the APC government and campaign.
He stressed that anyone who cannot manage a small set of humans, cannot be able to manage or Govern a state.
Governor Emmanuel stated this on Thursday during the flag-off ceremony of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), campaign for Uyo Senatorial District.
The former chief financial officer of Zenith Bank, also noted that Nigeria is still grappling with enormous challenges because of leadership incompetence.
Emmanuel regretted that despite the enormous human capacity in the state, none of her indigenes was allowed to become the president of Nigeria to turn the economy around in no distant time.
The former bank director further described the governorship candidate of PDP, Pastor Umo Eno, as a man of capacity who has what it takes to move Akwa Ibom to greater heights and the state a flagship state in Africa.
His words: “I will keep saying it, and I will repeat it until everybody hears me that if you cannot run a kiosk, you cannot run a multinational.
“If you have not created a dividend somewhere, you cannot create a dividend of democracy; that is why we are having the problems we are having in Nigeria today.
“How I wish that Akwa Ibom was given a chance, with the enormous human capacity to give them the President of Nigeria, to turn around the economy of this country in less than no time.”
In his remarks, Pastor Eno promised to consolidate the developmental strides of Governor Emmanuel, especially in areas of rural agricultural development, health, tourism, women and youth empowerment.
