LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Nigerian politician, Femi Fani-Kayode, has lambasted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for whining about the exclusion of VP Yemi Osinbajo from the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former Aviation Minister who recently decamped to the APC from the PDP noted that anyone who suggests that Osinbajo rejected a role on the PCC owing to APC’s Muslim/Muslim ticket needs to be examined.
Reports had emanated on Saturday, that a list of 422 power brokers within the ranks of the APC was released to ensure victory for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed and the APC in the 2023 presidential election, with a conspicuous omission of the VP’s name.
Rumors had been rife that Osinbajo, an APC presidential aspirant who lost to Tinubu, had rejected a spot on the team over his bitterness against the APC Candidate as well as the choice of a Muslim/Muslim ticket for the party.
But FFK, as the former minister is fondly called, has lashed out at those making such assertions, noting that the PCC was constituted in accordance with the party’s constitution.
